I spent $119.94 on clothes I don't really need, but will actually use.
While I've gotten much better about avoiding the triggers that make me want to shop, sometimes I still get pulled into sales, especially for items that rarely go on sale. So I ended up buying five items of clothes that definitely aren't a need, but a want, and will be practical to use instead of just looking cute for a fantasy self.
On the other side, we're about to hit April and I haven't purchased anything from the Orange Cosmetics Store since December, and that was cashing in points for mostly practical items, like shampoo/conditioner. I was able to withstand the bi-annual sale (mostly because there wasn't anything in there that was all that tempting), which is a weakness. Now I'm trying to hold out until my birthday, when I plan to at least treat myself to something with a coupon, and maybe stock-up on some more hair care since there's usually a sale at the same time.
So yes I did spend money on something I don't need, but I also spend the weekend house sitting so I made a little cash. In the end it all washes out, right?
(Yes, I realize that it's not a good philosophy to have but I'm trying to find the small wins in this current hellscape.)
