I spent $1.80 (and a buncha points) at the Orange Cosmetic store today.

They sent a prestige coupon and I had been worried about stocking up on a product that comes from overseas (sigh). It's a bit of a luxury splurge but I love it and I've tried to find dupes and it's shelf stable and and and and.

So I spent all those points I had gathered from this month's earlier purchase and bought a year's worth of cotton pads. Plus a shampoo and conditioner that my hair dresser has been recommending (because my long beloved and reliable shampoo/conditioner are no longer made, sob). All were prestige brands that I used a coupon and points! So it almost feels like it's free.

Plus now I don't have the worry that my points will expire since I don't think I'll make the tier I need to in order to keep my points from expiring. I won't feel "obligated" (barf) to shop there just so I can make sure I can spend $125 in points later. Money is money, and yes it's a gimmick to keep me spending, but if I can save money by using points, I will!

But now I won't be sad if $3 worth of points expires.

Now I just need to figure out where to store my hoard.
