Day 24: A Little Tidy

Whenever things feel like they're spiraling out of control, I reorganize my bathroom. Not the rest of the house. Just the bathroom.

Maybe because it's small. Maybe because I like to see all the potions and things smell pretty and the makeup is colorful and cute. But whenever I feel like my life is out of order, I tidy the bathroom.

I don't do a full clean or declutter. By any other viewpoint, it probably seems like chaos. I have too many potions and lotions and I still need to solve storage problems (ideally, it would be solved by not having as many things. Which is what the NBY is all about!).

But I can wash my makeup brushes. I can wipe down the sink. I can throw away random bits and bobs that I know are expired or that I will never use (who actually uses all those foil samples????).

The rest of the house and the rest of my life may still be chaos personified, and I should still scrub down the tub. But at least for a moment, I feel in control. Like I have a plan. Like I can handle the rest of the world.
