Day 62: Cyber none-day
I suppose I shouldn't be bragging too soon. There's still half the day left. But I can at least be pleased that I didn't spend much money over the holiday week.
Yes, I purchased some Expensive Plastic Blocks, but I knew that would happen (and I didn't get sucked into any of their other sales).
Yes, I purchased some items on Friday – not because it was Black Friday, but because we were out at an event and I saw some cute souvenirs.
But I resisted all the ads in my inbox. Sure, I may have looked. But I didn't finalize a cart or check-out.
While I still get caught up in impulses (I am planning on cleaning and organizing over the holidays, so of course I needed new supplies last week!), I do really feel like I'm able to tell myself "no" to things that would have sorely tempted me. Yes, the Shiny Thing is pretty and I want it. But I have so many other Shiny Things that are pretty and that I wanted. But they sit unused and ignored.
I'm not allowed another Shiny Thing until I appreciate the Shiny Things I already own.
