Day 63: Well I tried

So I did end up falling prey to Cyber Monday.

However, it was a practical purchase with only a little bit of fun thrown in.

While I'm trying to remain cool and collected, there is a part of me is panicking at the state of the world today. If rumors are true about supposed tariffs (slams head against desk and bemoans the state of the country's education system since the average person has no idea how a tariff works), then the best decision is to update technology sooner rather than later.

Hence last week's impulse purchase of new laptop, one that I had planned to upgrade next year, but this year apparently will work, too.

I can't afford to update my mother's computer, but I did decide to update her phone. I need her to have a reliable phone for the next five-or-so years. So I bought one. Not a new-new one, it's an older model, but one that should be supported for awhile. But I paid for it outright so it won't cost her anything.

Then I also got an updated set of earbuds and travel earphones because I know I will want them next year. And they were on sale. SO THERE.

But seriously, this new government regime may get me to actually stop spending foolishly, because I will be spending on my money on actual needs.
