Monthly Empties: Oct-Dec 2025

Going forward, I think I will definitely be doing quarterly empties. But because I've already created a "Monthly Empties" tag, I don't think I'll rename it so it'll still technically be titled thus. Partially because I just can't be bothered every month, and also I feel like I just don't go through that much products anymore.

Here are the products I used up or discarded during the last three months:

Used up:

  1. Bath & Body Works - Moisturizing Body Wash in Coco Paradise (10fl oz): Finally. I really don't like this style, even though I know at one time it was my favorite. Something about it just doesn't work right with my body. I have another moisturizing body wash but it may end up on the "decluttered" list instead of the "used up."
  2. Bath & Body Works - Shower Gel in Hello Beautiful (10oz): It was fine. Did the job. I have a bajillion more in different random scents to go through.
  3. Hempz - Herbal Body Moisturizer in Sweet Pineapple & Honey Melon (travel size): I had this in my purse for about a year but made it my work lotion and finished it off. I like Hempz lotion and this scent (I nearly used a full size of it, the rest of it is around somewhere so I can hopefully add it to this list one day!). I've started on a new Hempz lotion at work and have vaguely decided to try and use up the random lotions I have (mostly GWPS, like I think both the Hempz were) at work since I won't be distracted by anything else.
  4. Klorane - Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk (150ml): my favorite dry shampoo brand. I prefer the one with nettle but this one works well, too. I have quite a back stock thanks to a great sale a couple of years ago but I'd purchase again whenever I run out.
  5. Amika - Dry Shampoo (travel size): I used this up while traveling so I don't have the exact name of the dry shampoo, but this is another favorite. If it was sold at the Orange Makeup Store and not just the Black and White Makeup Store, I might buy more.
  6. Peach & Lily - Wild Dew Treatment Essence (100ml): It was okay. I don't actively seek out Peach & Lily products, but they seem to find me via GWPs. I don't mind them since they don't harm my skin, but I'm not convinced they offer any benefits, either.
  7. Shiseido - Facial Cotton (165 count): yes, I went through another one, right on schedule. Yes, it is overpriced, but it's a small splurge that makes me happy.
  8. Laneige - Lip Mask in Berry (20g): [insert gif of the old Titanic lady saying "it's been 84 years"] I love these lip masks but I never seem to remember how long they take me (answer: forever!). I have so many more to get through, but I think I'll rotate them seasonally so I don't get tired of the flavor.
  9. Fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm in Mango (6g): I love this style of lip balm. It stays on my lips for quite a while even though it is pretty light. It's not a miracle worker, but I do really like the formula. The mango flavor, however, is probably my least favorite one that I have tried and I'm glad it's finally empty and I can move on to my favorite flavor (coconut!).
  10. Benefit - Precisely My Brow Pencil in 3.5 (full size): This shade is maybe a little too dark – 3.0 might be a better fit. I kind of hated how much I loved it because it's so much more expensive than the NYX or Ulta versions. But I could tell it lasted longer on my skin than those other two, even if the general use was the same. I would repurchase if on sale, but in 3.0.

Decluttered:

  1. IT Cosmetics - Superhero No-Tug Shadow Stick in Silk Armor (full size): I really wanted to put this in "used up" because I got through about half of it, wearing it regularly throughout the ear. But it started to smell like crayon so it had to go. Would repurchase, maybe – I think I'd try another brand first. But the Silk Armor color and satin style is perfect for that simple, neutral work look.
  2. Rare Beauty - All the Above Weightless Eyeshadow Stick in Integrity (full size): same as the IT Cosmetics – used up about half of it before it started to smell like crayons. Might consider purchasing again, but in another shade. Integrity was a little too peachy.
